Sarah Geronimo

Sarah Asher Tua Geronimo, popularly known as Sarah Geronimo or Sarah G. is a Filipino recording artist and actress. Born and raised in Sampaloc, Manila she joined various singing and talent competitions with her father, Delfin Geronimo, as her trainer. In addition, she also joined the cast of now defunct ABS-CBN TV show, Ang TV. However, she rose to fame only after having won the Star For a Night singing competition in 2003.

After winning the competition, she immediately released her debut album entitled Popstar: A Dream Come True under Viva Records which generate three number-one singles in the MYX Hitchart. According to Philippine Association of the Record Industry, as of December 2008, the album has sold more that 290,000 units nationwide.  Following the success of her debut album, she had her first solo concert in the Music Museum with the same title. To date, she has recorded and released eleven albums including a live album and a compilation album.

In 2005, she had her first major-solo concert at the Smart Araneta Coliseum. At the age of 17, she is considered to be as one of the youngest performers to have filled the Big Dome. She is the first Filipino artist to receive a platinum award for a DVD copy of her concert The Other Side in 2005 and is currently the only artist who has a platinum record for 4 DVDs of her concert. Her fourth one was awarded with triple platinum status in December of 2010.

Geronimo, in 2008 made her first starring role in a movie with John Lloyd Cruz entirled, A Very Special Love. The movie has a total gross of more than P170 Million. making her the Box-office Queen for the year 2008. Due to the success of their tandem, a sequel immediately followed the following year in a romantic-comedy film You Changed My Life. Their second movie proved their box-office power which earned more than P215 Million.

Apart from her music and film career, Geronimo also ventured into business. In 2004, her family opened a salon and boutique in Manila which was named after her.They also opened a food chain that is being managed my her mother, Divina.

Due to her music and talent, Geronimo's received several awards and accolades. She received from the Aliw Awards the "Best Female Major Concert" award for Record Breaker and the "Entertainer of the Year" award, making her the youngest artist to receive it in history.

In 2012, she had her first two-night birthday concert entitled 24/SG at the Smart Araneta Coliseum.
